Catamaran sunset cruise in Barcelona
Are you looking for a unique way to see the Barcelona skyline? Why not try a Catamaran sunset cruise in Barcelona?!
Is Barcelona open ?
The city is very much open for business albeit some of the restaurants, bars and activities may have reduced hours. This is not actually a bad thing as you can get a table in some of “Hot Spots” of the city without the need to fight for a table and the attractions are less crowed so its a more relaxed experience.
Often you live in a city but don´t actually get to enjoy the sights or attractions on your doorstop, so with more and more people now opting not to travel on explore their own city or county that´s exctly what we did!
Catamaran Sunset Jazz Cruise
We booked our tickets using the link from our website !
We wanted to escape the heat of the city which was around 33 degrees, so the best option was try a catamaran cruise to feel the sea breeze. The cruise departs from the bottom of the Rambla so extremely easy to get to. We boarded the catamaran before the scheduled departure of 1945 and had the choice of a seat or be more relaxed on the net which is a net that separates you from the sea. We chose the latter which can best describes the feeling as a “Pic Nic” at sea.
We left the port with a musician on board playing his Saxophone and the skyline of Barcelona becoming more visible as we sail into the Mediterranean Sea leaving the port behind. As we leave the port area, we can see all the city skyline with the sun setting.
Feeling refreshed by the sea breeze we decided to order a bottle of wine to share between the two of us, so we opted for a delicious Spanish red. The vibe on board was very relaxed and chilled out, we had live music, wine, and the sea breeze. What´s not to like?!
We were pouring our last glass of wine when the sails went up and we started our journey back to port after approx. 90 mins at sea. Once we arrived back in port we got back on dry land with the sensation we were still sailing, I don´t know if that was due to the time we spend on board or the wine we had! but it was still early so a perfect time to explore the narrow streets of the barrio Gothic and enjoy some tapas.
